About Us - Our Policies

For more than 20 years we have been making safe, entertaining toys for your feathered friends. For many years we raised birds for private customers. In 2004 we closed our breeding operation, due to the large number of unwanted birds in rescue and concentrated our efforts on making toys and producing wood parts to support rescue. We support rescue by offering discounts to 501c3 organizations and through donations of toys, wood and gift certificates for fundraisers.  All of our toys are made and our wood is processed in our pet and smoke free shop.

OUR WOOD
We provide fresh, clean pine wood for your birds.  Our wood may not be as perfect as that produced overseas in large facilities, however it is safe, chemical and pollutant free.  All pieces are cut, drilled and packed by hand.  The edges may be a bit rough, but the birds don't seem to mind.

PAYMENT
We accept; PayPal, Credit Cards (through PayPal) and Check/Money Order (payment must clear our bank prior to shipping).  Our shopping cart charges your payment method in real time, in other words when you place the order.

SHIPPING
We ship the least expensive way we can find, primarily through USPS (United States Post Office) or UPS (United Parcel Service).  You will pay only exact shipping charges and if our cart overcharges you, the excess charge will be refunded.  We recycle boxes to help lessen our footprint.
PLEASE NOTE: We are in our 60's and retired. We did not retire to work full-time.  We have no employees, it is only myself and Doug.  We continue with this store to benefit birds in rescue. Proceeds from this store go toward donations to Rescue/Sanctuary in the form of product, money, gift certificates, etc.  We have family, 5 children, 7 grandchildren, and 2 sets of elderly parents that we spend time with.  We both have children and grandchildren living locally, in another mid-west State and on the West Coast, we travel to visit them.  We take vacations.  Doug golfs 2 days a week.  I breed and show dogs, when we have puppies, I am unavailable.  I often am traveling to dog shows.  I have my youngest grandchildren (ages 2 and 4) one day a week.  Thus, we do not work at this full time and our turn around time can at times be several weeks or more.  If this does not work for you, we understand!  We do our best to get orders out as quickly as possible and strongly recommend that you place your next order well before you run out of product.

RETURNS
For the safety of your birds and ours, we do not accept returns for any reason.  If there is an issue with your order, please contact us and we will do everything we can to make it right.
